What is on the TEAS Test?
The topics you will be tested on during the TEAS are Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage. The total 170 questions are divided between the 4 sections as follows: 45 reading questions, 38 math questions, 50 science questions, and 37 English and Language Usage questions.
Reading (45 questions, 55 minutes)
For the reading part of the test, you will be tested on three separate sections, that are all meant to assess different skills: Key Ideas & Details, Craft & Structure, and Integration of Knowledge & Ideas. Generally, this section evaluates your ability to pinpoint the main idea and intent of a text, to make inferences, and to interpret information.

Mathematics (38 questions, 57 minutes)
For the math part of the test, you will be tested on two sections that cover multiple aspects of mathematics: Numbers & Algebra and Measurement & Data. These sections cover topics that correspond to a high-school-level mathematics preparation.

- solve real-world problems using: proportions, ratios, rates of change, expressions, equations, inequalities, percentages, and operations with real numbers

Science (50 questions, 60 minutes)
For the science part of the test, you will be tested on four different sections: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, and Scientific reasoning. This section is meant to assess your ability to identify and diagnose illnesses while also engaging your logic and ability to make connections.

For this part of the test, you will be tested in three separate sections: Conventions of Standard English, Knowledge of Language, and English and Language Usage. This section is meant to assess whether you can express yourself correctly and concisely using both standard English and medical terminology.
