What do you bring on TEAS test day?

Generally, for your TEAS test day, you should bring:

  • Valid, government-issued ID, such as a passport, a driver’s license, or military ID (digital copies or photos are not considered official identification).

  • Login information from your ATI account. If you are taking the computer version, you will need this to log into your account from the testing center/institution.

  • Two no.2 pencils (if you are taking the paper version).

Remember that any additional items required by your institution should be communicated to you before the exam.

What to Expect on TEAS test day?

Knowing what to expect on your test day helps alleviate any stress about the experience. The procedural aspects might seem less important, but understanding what is expected of you on test day will ensure you are fully prepared to take your TEAS.

Here are some standard procedures to expect if you are taking the TEAS in person, at an institution or testing center:

  • Your ID will be checked, and you will be admitted to the testing room by the staff.

Make sure your ID is government-issued (student IDs are not admissible), original (do not bring pictures or digital copies), and updated (your registration name and any other information should be current).

  • Inside the testing room, there will be proctors who are constantly checking for odd/disruptive behaviour.

Check here to see what you are not allowed to do once inside the testing room.

  • You will be given a calculator and scratch paper by the proctors. You do not need to bring either of these items from home.

  • You will be allowed a 10-minute break after the math section (you are not allowed to access any personal items during the break).

  • You can raise your hand if you need to leave the room anytime besides break time.

If you encounter any issues with the test or with your computer during the test, do not hesitate to notify the proctors.
