Is there a TEAS syllabus?
The TEAS syllabus covers four content areas: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Use.
-
Reading: Key Ideas & Details, Craft & Structure, Integration of Knowledge & Ideas.
-
Mathematics: Numbers & Algebra, Measurement & Data.
-
Science: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Scientific Reasoning.
-
English and Language Usage: Conventions of Standard English, Knowledge of Language, English and Language Usage.
The TEAS blueprint is structured to cover these areas within four separate sections on the test.
The sections are not divided equally, meaning that sections like Reading and Science are comprised of more questions than the Mathematics and English sections.
While not all TEAS tests will have the same questions, they all follow the same blueprint, meaning that the syllabus for your test will be the same, regardless of how many times you take it.
Keep in mind that each section is designed to assess a different set of skills.
This syllabus is meant to offer a rough outline of the content areas you are supposed to cover in your studying, not an exhaustive list of topics you need to memorise.
