What do I need to know before I register for the ATI TEAS test?
1. The first thing you should know before you register for the TEAS is how long the test results are valid. This changes from school to school. Usually, institutions allow between one to two years before they consider the scores expired.

Some schools will count down from the day you took your TEAS, others from the day you submitted your results for admission. Check to see how your institution handles this before you register.

2. The way you would prefer to take the test. You have the option of taking it remotely or in person at an institution or testing center. Check the application policy of the institution you will be applying to.
Some schools will not accept TEAS results if the test was not taken at their institution.
3. Be aware of the score you will need to be accepted to the program you are applying to. Each school sets their own standards for applicants.

4. You should also check the application window of your institution. Make sure that you have enough time to receive and submit your results. Make sure to also check how your institution handles retakes, as many schools require you to wait 30 days between attempts.

5. Be informed about how many attempts your institution allows per year. Usually, schools allow 3 attempts per 12 months.
6. Check how your institution handles accommodations for students. Most likely, you will need to submit a request form to the school. Some schools require you to send the form about 30 days before your test day.
7. Lastly, to take the test, you will need to bring a physical copy of your government-issued ID on test day. This is true for remote and in-person exams.

You will not be allowed to take the test if you have a digital copy or photo of your ID or if the name on your ID is not the exact same as the name on your registration form.
